About me....

BeBe': born in Florence, 28 years ago

My history:
1983-2007:  Florence, Italy
2007-2011:  Tokyo, Japan
2011- present: Dubai, UAE

Excluding my brief overseas experiences working for an Italian resort chain, I spent my whole life in my hometown, Florence, up to the age of 23. Beautiful world-famous Florence was too tiny for me and I was constantly exploring ways to break out. I was ready to fly, but I didn’t know how to do it…
I guess I learned how to use my wings when I met Thomas. We didn’t really know it, but we were looking in the same direction, through a very far-faraway destination.
1 year after we met, we moved to Japan together. And after 4 awesome years in Tokyo, filled with sushi, cherry blossoms and earthquakes, here we are, moving again.
August 2011. Middle East this time, heading to the golden (or I should say petrol) city of Dubai.
I always have the feeling I need to share the things I see and do. Or I’ll forget many of them and living this exciting life won’t have that much of a sense. I also know that I don’t have time. That none of my diaries survived page #5 and I know that I’m not writing a specific theme blog.
In this regard, I still need to figure weather this is my best virtue or my very worst characteristic: I do not have a vocation (or maybe I have too many). In fact, I am interested in so many different things. And I want to be free to jump from one to another without restrictions.
Ready to follow me? If you’re an old school engineer it might be hard for you to keep on my barmy reasoning, but if you want to get lost, you’re more than welcome. I’ll write about the countries I’ve visited, the people I’ve met, the cultures I’ve known, the food I’ve had, the music I’ve heard, the book I’ve read, the languages I’ve learned (and the ones that I haven’t) and, most importantly, I will write about the few things that I’ve understood of this world and the many more that, still, I really don’t get.
